My name is Rebecca Seifert.

I like to play with numbers, I like to make things pretty—in every sense of the word: beautifully detailed, neat, well-planned, organized,...—and I like to solve puzzles. Data science, it turns out, is when I do all those things.

Currently, I study full time at NC State, majoring in Statistics and minoring in Computer Programming and Economics. In my free time, I run the Data Science Club at NCSU, serve as a data science TA/tutor, teach ESL language arts, and try to indulge my loves for music, philosophy, sports, and all things crafty as often as I can. I plan to graduate in summer 2025 and then potentially work towards a Master's after gaining additional industry experience.

In the future, I look forward to a career in data science and opportunities to explore my interests in predictive analytics and natural language processing. I'm all about music, text data, and process, so I hope to work as a data architect/engineer, ideally with music analytics, computational linguistics, or something in between!
